In addition to the opportunity to assist the CEO of a leading maritime organization in advancing sustainable maritime goals and adhering to top international standards, this organization offers excellent primary and fringe benefits. These benefits include a gross monthly salary of up to approximately €6,500.00 (depending on experience and background), a discretionary bonus of up to two gross monthly salaries, an 8% holiday allowance, a pension scheme, a leased car, a mobile phone, and a laptop. The position is based on a permanent 36 to 40-hour workweek and provides a dynamic and inspiring environment where no two days are the same!
The Role
You will assist and support an inspiring CEO of a leading maritime organization in advancing sustainable maritime goals and adhering to top international standards. Your role will have a strong focus on proactivity, progress monitoring, strategic thinking, and identifying, initiating, and coordinating necessary actions.
As to this role’s main responsibilities, you can expect:
- Strategic business partnership;
- Management of complex email, calendar, and travel arrangements;
- Screening and organizing incoming information and calls, with task prioritization;
- Resolving most inquiries and challenges independently, escalating complex issues as necessary;
- Streamlining workflows and maintaining efficient daily operations;
- Planning and organizing various meetings and appointments, ensuring timely execution;
- Recording minutes, action items, and decisions during key meetings, and ensuring follow-through;
- Developing and deepening understanding of processes and procedures;
- Preparing presentations, emails, and documents with a high level of professionalism and accuracy;
- Identifying areas for improvement in office organization and efficiency;
- Assisting and supporting the CEO with any additional tasks or projects, as required.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a top-tier PA with approximately 10 years of relevant professional experience. You are discreet, flexible, and ready to assist an experienced CEO in achieving challenging and sustainable growth ambitions. You possess an energetic business mindset, strong values, and high standards. Available 24/7 in the face of sudden changes or urgency, you are tech-savvy, passionate about the maritime industry, and driven to excel. Stakeholder engagement is your specialty, and you excel at working with precision and accuracy. Your goal is to organize and manage the CEO’s dynamic life in a structured and efficient manner. Naturally proactive and resilient, you are adept at quickly gaining perspective on matters. You are diplomatic, business-oriented, and have a strong affinity for maritime services. You thrive as a key player in the success of a high-performance global leader, driven by a commitment to sustainable growth and first-class assistance.
You are an exceptionally adaptable and impactful PA, aligning with the following criteria and competencies:
Criteria
- Interest in and affinity with the international maritime services industry;
- Preferably VWO (pre-university education), followed by a completed Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Executive Support, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field;
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in a professional environment;
- Interest in and affinity with legal matters is a plus;
- Excellent command of Dutch and English, in both spoken and written forms;
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and a tech-savvy approach;
- A strong commitment to being part of a top team for an extended period.
