The Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds, with one head office and 12 provincial departments, supports and stimulates more than 3,500 special initiatives, projects and talents in the Netherlands in the field of culture, nature and science every year. From history, literature, science, music, theater and film, to visual arts, nature, monument conservation and neighborhood culture. With an annual budget of over € 35 million in private funds, it makes many financial contributions, commissions, prizes and grants possible. As an inspirer of contemporary patronage, it also provides independent and expert advice on philanthropy to private individuals, companies and foundations. Thanks to the growth of the fund, the full-time vacancy for a professional, proactive and cheerful management assistant has become available at its beautiful, monumental head office in Amsterdam, which employs approximately 50 dedicated people.

     The role

Thanks to a growth of the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds, the full-time vacancy for a professional, proactive and cheerful management assistant has become available at its beautiful, monumental head office in Amsterdam. This head office counts approximately 50 employees. Your responsibilities will consist of supporting a demanding and busy director from A-Z, supporting the board secretary and the head of the Executive Secretariat, Reception and Facility when required. Your work will focus strongly on proactivity, thinking along and thinking ahead and initiating, identifying and coordinating any actions to be taken. You will work closely with an executive secretary and will report to the head of the Executive Secretariat, Reception and Facility.

With regard to your role, you can expect, among others, the following responsibilities:

  • First point of contact, both internal and external;
  • Optimally streamlining and structuring the daily business;
  • Learning about processes, procedures and regulations;
  • Planning, preparing and organizing various meetings and gatherings, including MT, appointments with the Supervisory Board and Taskforce Provincial Departments;
  • Monitoring the MT agenda;
  • Taking minutes and ensuring the right follow-up of action points and decisions;
  • Coordinating information flows;
  • Taking care of correspondence, e-mails, presentations and policy documents;
  • Monitoring corporate identity and quality;
  • Keeping the relationship file up to date;
  • Mail handling;
  • E-filing.

Specifically, you meet the following criteria and you have the following competences:

Criteria

  • Completed training Management, Economics and Law (HBO-MER), Hotel Management and / or Schoevers Business Support;
  • At least five years of relevant working experience in a professional environment;
  • Excellent command of the Dutch language, both written and spoken;
  • Good verbal and written knowledge of the English language;
  • Excellent command of MsOffice, CRM Dynamics; technologically savvy;
  • Experience in maintaining contacts at every level;
  • Experience in managing and leading a team;
